Recipe Text:

1 cup currants

Water or apple juice

Berry juice (raspberry, cranberry etc.)

Rice syrup (optional)

Pinch salt

1 tbs kuzu dissolved in water



Place the currants in a small saucepan and add just enough water or fruit juice to cover. Add salt and a splash of berry juice to add a more intense berry flavour. Simmer 10-15 minutes until the currants are plump. Sir the kuzu into the currant mixture to thicken.
