Hi Steve,

I recently heard you speak, and was fascinated by some of your thoughts on diet, lifestyle, and how they impact our health.

However, reading through some of the material on your website, it strikes me that to completely to commit to the diet/lifestyle changes you suggest might be beyond many people in this day and age. Sourcing particular health foods, different preparation of food (ie. soaking wholegrains for 24 hours), and avoiding some substances (especially in social gatherings where there might not be viable alternatives) all present difficulties for some people.

My question is this - in light of the above points, is there some type of 'Acuff-lite' or for want of a better description, maybe a basic '10 Commandments' you could recommend to an average-Joe - some key guidelines that will improve their health without having to radically alter their lifestyle?

Even something as simple as the best handful of foods to add to your diet, and the best hadnful to remove?

Ill take a stab at this well there are a few things...
1. No soft drinks or any artificial sugar even in coffee. (1 coffee a day)
2. Anything artificial foods
3. Salt, there are over 400 types of salt and guess what you need salt, dont believe any thing about salt being bad for you because you are made of salt... we are 70% water just like the earth and 10% is salt water. Replace all your salts with sea salt, Himalayan or Celtic or any good rock salt.
4. get sun every day, yes sun is good for you. no sun block (Google sun scam).
5. Be active don't sit all day. go for a walk at least 45 mins to 1 hour
6. no deep fried, only good oil's cold pressed and raw.
7. Less meat... beans are just as good for protein
8. load up on pro-biotic s and good bacteria I make a sauerkraut which tastes awesome
9. No white anything ie bread's or pasta or rice
10. eat heaps of fruit and juices plus veg
Im sure there is more but just a few things to get you started...

Everything in moderation once or twice a week.

Oh yes clean up your insides with salt water(1 L real water with 2 level tea spoons of salt) you can do it for a few days in a row or once a week should be fine if you are a heavy meat eater and or colonics which i wont do.

Enjoy. Ads
